In complete privacy
Vila Mira Mar and its spacious living rooms play with these blue tones, contrasting with the white facades, walls and curtains, as well as the ochre of the surrounding cliffs or the land of the hinterland.
Facing due south, the oceanic facade provides plenty of sunshine and superb panoramic views. Vila Mira Mar is bathed in light thanks to its large windows. Adorned with historic compositions of 17th-century Portuguese Azulejos and other Mediterranean ceramics, it offers a fresh, light decor, resolutely seaside chic and comfortable: a cosy atmosphere, natural materials, welcoming furniture and comfortable bedding.
The property guarantees a level of cleanliness and maintenance equal to the standards of excellence of a 5-star hotel. All spaces are private.
The interior
From the moment you enter, the villa offers large, light-filled spaces. From the superb double-island kitchen and its beautiful dining room, a large, welcoming and convivial living room opens out, followed by a more intimate one. The villa stretches out on the ground floor, leaving each guest his or her own privacy, or the opportunity to gather in the heart of the interior or on the large, shaded terrace. A choice of four en suite rooms, each named after a local beach: Praia Luz, Paraïso, Falesia or Rocha, in different shades of blue, green, turquoise or ochre. Each room has a sea/pool view or an intimate patio.
The exterior and its surroundings
The unoverlooked villa is decorated with undulating flowerbeds planted with evergreen Mediterranean vegetation. A swimming pool, hammam, official pétanque court, pingpong table, patio with fountain and plancha area are just some of the amenities on offer. The large rooftop terrace offers panoramic views of the entire ocean front, and is the ideal place for private sunbathing, yoga sessions or a sunset aperitif. From the villa, sumptuous walks over the cliffs are directly accessible on foot, as are the pretty beaches, via wooden staircases or small paths carved into the rock, one of which leads to one of the world’s most beautiful beaches, Praia da Rocha. And then there’s the pretty village of Carvoeiro, neither too big nor too small, which has managed to retain its harmony and authenticity, with its white houses surrounded by palm trees and yuccas. On-site and in the surrounding area, year-round, you’ll find fine gastronomy from the most traditional to the finest, with several tables awarded stars.
South-facing
The ocean-facing facade provides the private pool with plenty of sunshine and a superb panorama in complete privacy. Custom-built in azure-blue ceramic, it features a sand-colored ceramic inner deck. The large 75m2 pool is designed to be both accessible and family-friendly. (Minimum depth 20cm, maximum 1.5m) Traditional hammam, outdoor shower, deckchairs, parasols and garden furniture complete this space. Surrounded by terraces and lawns, the area invites you to sunbathe, relax in the shade of bougainvillea or parasols and enjoy the pleasures of water without moderation.
South-facing private pool
The calm and charm of a green Mediterranean garden and large sheltered terraces offer a variety of wellness areas around the large private swimming pool.
Petanque area
Located on the north side of the villa, in the heart of the dry, tropical garden, the official-standard petanque court is a convivial space. There’s also a ping-pong table for added variety. (Balls and rackets supplied).
The Patio and its fountain
An ideal haven for napping, reading or enjoying a drink, this intimate space is totally sheltered from the wind, and is a cool haven in summer.
Traditional Hammam
The traditional hammam opposite the swimming pool can accommodate up to 8 people and is rapidly heated to 45°C (indoor shower and outdoor shower).
XXL flat roof
The large, accessible rooftop of over 250m2 boasts panoramic views of the ocean and cliffs on the south and southwest sides. This space is ideal for sunbathing in total privacy, practicing yoga or relaxing in your living room in front of the sunset…
Cellar and welcome kit
Possibility of tasting a fine selection of French and Portuguese bottles (visit to local Quinta on request – 15km away). Welcome kit including a bottle of wine, a bag of coffee beans and a local specialty.
